Common questions
What exactly is free, and for how long?
The software is free forever: unlimited books, unlimited CSV and manual transactions, every report, receipts, reconciliation, and your own AI over MCP. No trial clock, no card on file. Paid plans cover two things: live bank feeds, priced by connected bank accounts across all your books, and AI Bookkeeping + Autopilot on Growth and Scale.
What counts as a connected bank account?
A bank or card account with a live feed pulling transactions in automatically through Plaid. Offline accounts fed by CSV or manual entry never count and are always free.
Do connected accounts count per book, or across all my books?
Across all your books. The cap counts connected accounts on your whole account, not per book: ten books with one connected account each is ten accounts, a Starter plan, however they are spread. That is why a practice with many client books pays one subscription, not twenty-five.
Do plans limit transactions, books, or AI usage?
No. Books, transactions, reports, and your own AI over MCP are unlimited on every plan; the built-in assistant on Growth and Scale has a generous fair-use ceiling that typical use never approaches.
Is there an annual discount?
No. Billing is monthly.
What happens if I downgrade or my payment fails?
Feeds pause, and the built-in assistant drops back to the Free allowance. Your books, reports, history, and your AI over MCP keep working on the Free plan, and already-imported transactions stay put. Reconnect payment (or upgrade again) and both resume.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Billing in Settings: no email, no questions asked. Feeds run through the period you paid for, then stop. Export everything to CSV whenever you like. Details in the refund policy.
